Ashley Slanina-Davies is curretly playing troubled teenager Amy Barnes in Manchester-based soap Hollyoaks. You can catch the show on Channel 4 at 6:30pm on weekdays, with the next episodes shown on E4 on weekdays at 7pm, and the omnibus at around 9am every Sunday.

More abuse for Hollyoaks's Amy?Hollyoaks character Amy Barnes is apparently set for more abuse from her boyfriend.
The teenage mother, played by Ashley Slanina-Davies, accidentally gets Ste Hay (Kieran Richardson) into bother by telling Justin Burton (Chris Fountain) that he has acquired a karaoke machine, according to the Daily Star. It seems Ste stole the machine while on his rounds as a debt collector. And when he gets an earful from Justin, he apparently takes it out on Amy, who is again pregnant with his child. A source told the newspaper: "It's the final straw. Amy knows she now has to protect her unborn baby as well as herself. "So she does a runner and the McQueens find her in the village and take her to their house. They are stunned to learn she has been the victim of domestic abuse for months. They convince her to tell her dad Mike and she finally comes clean." And her dad is reportedly less than impressed. This week's screen capturesI added a whole bunch of screen captures on Thursday, but I didn't have the time to come online and update the site. I would post previews, but there are too many.
Monday 2nd June Amy is nervous as she prepares for her exam, and is shocked when she finds out that Michaela and Josh cheated on their coursework Tuesday 3rd June Amy accepts help from Father Kieron at the shop when she doesn't have enough money to pay for Leah's nappies and food, and then gets an earful from Ste about it when she gets home Wednesday 4th June A chat with Michaela leaves Amy thinking of staying at school for sixth form, which doesn't please Ste, but then he later promises Amy that he will change his violent ways and look after her and Leah Thursday 5th June Amy comforts Josh when he needs a friend to talk to, and when a jealous Ste sees them together and assumes they're getting back together, he throws hot soup over Amy and burns her arm I will be adding Friday's soon, it's the episode where Ste cut off all Amy's hair. Kieron Richardson's hair panicKieron Richardson was terrified when he had to cut off his Hollyoaks co-star's hair.
The actor - who plays villainous Ste in the Channel 4 soap - revealed he felt under enormous pressure when his character accost his co-star Ashley Slanina-Davis, who plays Amy, and cut off her hair. He said: "I was shaking so much when we filmed that scene. I had to cut Ashley's plait off in exactly the right place because she was giving it to a charity. Luckily, it all went well and Ashley looks very elegant with her new haircut!" Kieron also revealed the reasons behind Ste's vicious attack. He said: "It all starts when Ste sees Amy and her ex-boyfriend Josh together. Josh strokes Amy's hair for a moment and, while it's perfectly innocent, Ste hates it - it's as if someone else is touching his property. "Furious at Amy's 'lies', Ste goes mad and throws hot soup over poor Amy. Her arm is badly burned and she has to go to hospital. Afterwards, Ste is gutted he wasn't able to control his anger."
